Kula Shaker reform

2006.01.21 日常
Kula Shaker have reformed, nearly seven years after they split. The band got back together for a secret gig at The Wheatsheaf pub in Leighton Buzzard under the pseudonym The Garcons [french for waiter] on Dec 21 '05.

Singer Crispian Mills (in a grey wig), bassist Alonza Bevan and drummer Paul Winterhart took to the stage and treated unsuspecting fans to a set which included 'Govinda', 'Hush' as well as "a fucked up version of 'Hey Dude'" according to Crispian, plus three new songs. The band played without original keyboard player Jay Darlington, who is currently working with Oasis.

Kula Shaker split up in March '99 following the release of their second album Peasants, Pigs And Astronauts, the follow-up to '96's debut K. Crispian went on to form The Jeevas, who disbanded last year after two albums. Alonza recently left Johnny Marr's Healers (who will release a new album this spring.) And in '99 drummer Paul Winterhart joined the late-great Thirteen:13, who split shortly after recording their (unreleased) debut album.

I was never really a fan of the band, were you guys?

我只是要說 I can't believe it!!!!!
